We studied for months, and our scores barely rose until we changed how we studied.

Our scores, before and after we found the right strategies.
Before

"There are so many resources and it gets overwhelming with how much I should be doing in a day."

After

Start each day with the right priorities. You'll put your tasks in the order 515+ scorers would, with your best hours on what raises your score.

Before

"I have consistently been stuck in the 498-501 range for a couple months now."

After

Find what's holding your score back. Daily and weekly prompts help you spot the pattern behind your misses and make the right change.

Before

"Every time, after reviewing tests, I felt like I got it, but my score stays low, and I made the same mistakes."

After

Make every full-length practice test count. Each debrief asks the questions a 515+ tutor would, so you walk into the next one with a plan to score higher.

Before

"I'm worried about… creating a realistic study schedule since I have failed to keep to my past ones."

After

A plan you'll stick to. The journal keeps you accountable and lays out each day for you, so every morning starts with your next step decided.

★★★★★Stuck at a plateauRetaker
Ben C.
Ben C.500 to 513Stuck at 505 and feeling hopeless, then a 513 on the retake

After repeatedly getting scores around 505 on practice tests, I was feeling hopeless I would ever reach my goal score of 512+. … By incorporating concrete strategies from strategy courses and 1:1 tutoring, I got a 513 on my MCAT retake!

Medlife Mastery was a huge lifesaver for me.

My biggest challenge was overcoming the 500s plateau. In my first MCAT take, I got a 500 MCAT score. After getting that score, applying to medical school, and getting no interviews, I knew I was in for the long haul. I spent months trying to improve my score. After repeatedly getting scores around 505 on practice tests, I was feeling hopeless I would ever reach my goal score of 512+.

I had already been using MedLife Mastery free strategy course resources already, but I decided to invest in 1:1 coaching and buy their strategy courses. I got paired with Angel Ortiz who helped me understand my weaknesses in the sections, which was very helpful. I knew my weak areas, but I needed him to show me the weak areas I didn't know about already.

I loved the CARS strategy course especially. It gave me great tips on how to find the "most valuable sentence" in a CARS passage.

By incorporating concrete strategies from strategy courses and 1:1 tutoring, I got a 513 on my MCAT retake! I was super excited, especially since my goal was 512+!!

I got the "Complete MCAT Strategy Package + 5 Coaching Sessions", which I would recommend!

★★★★★No change after practice tests
Melanie L.
Melanie L.505 practice to 517505 to 517, with the worst section up from 124 to 129

I was panicking as I was only scoring around 505 and I knew I needed at least a 515 for the schools I was interested in. … I’m totally thrilled that I scored a 517 and even happier to have brought my worst section score up to 129 .

Reading the MedLife Mastery Guide was one of the best things I did to prepare for my MCAT. I read it after having taken some practice exams without seeing any increase in my test score. I was panicking as I was only scoring around 505 and I knew I needed at least a 515 for the schools I was interested in.

Worst of all, my scores were very unbalanced between sections with my lowest score being the physical sciences with a 124. After reading the book, I completely revamped how I reviewed my exams and shifted my focus to tackling my worst sections with a vengeance.

I’m totally thrilled that I scored a 517 and even happier to have brought my worst section score up to 129 . I credit the majority of my progress to following the advice in the MedLife Mastery Guide.

★★★★★Started below 500
Annabella D.
Annabella D.496 to 515496 to 515 in about six weeks

After [the first] session I felt a lot better about planning and having someone so nice and understanding behind me. … I was able to raise my score 19 points in about 6 weeks from all the tips she gave me and the calendar we planned together

I got sessions with a tutor and she helped me so, so much. She was really able to understand where I was getting stuck and why and then how to help. Having someone to show how they went through each passage, what they highlighted, or what they wrote down helped me a lot to actually figure out what to focus on in passages and boosted my score a ton.

After [the first] session I felt a lot better about planning and having someone so nice and understanding behind me.

From then we met once a week, and during the hours I would pull up the AAMC question banks and we would go through multiple passages in different sections and she would really go through what steps she took to read the passage, read the question, read the answers, and bring everything together to understand it and get the answer correct.

She was very understanding of where I was getting tripped up and was more than willing to go through things multiple times if I needed it. She was able to really emphasize how important going through the passage was and understanding the details in it to bring it all together, which is something I was continuously getting tripped up on...

I was able to raise my score 19 points in about 6 weeks from all the tips she gave me and the calendar we planned together

How you'll use your new MCAT journal

One journal covers 60 days of prep, about 8 minutes a day.

  1. Each morning, 4 minutes

Write your three tasks for the day and block time for each, tagged by section.

  2. Each evening, 4 minutes

Note your win, where you struggled and one fix for tomorrow.

  3. Once a week

Your check-in looks back at the week, finds the pattern behind your misses and plans one change.

  4. After each practice test

A debrief page for each full-length practice test to track your score improvement.

Weekly check-inOne journal lasts 60 days, with a check-in every week and a halfway review.

A filled-in day, page by page

The whole day fits on two pages.

  1. Target and days to test.

A specific goal beats "do your best." (Locke and Latham, 2002)

  2. Today's three, must-do starred.

Goals for the day's tasks hold up better than a goal for a score. (Clark and colleagues, 2020)

  3. Time blocks, tagged by section.

A plan with a time gets done, across more than 600 tests of the idea. (Sheeran, Listrom and Gollwitzer, 2025)

  4. Why today matters.

Students who tie schoolwork to a bigger purpose stick with it longer. (Yeager and colleagues, 2014)

  5. Win, struggle, and tomorrow's fix.

Across 61 studies, people who review their performance and choose what to change do better afterward. (Keiser and Arthur, 2021)

  6. Did yesterday's fix help?

One tick each night tells you which changes to keep. (Keiser and Arthur, 2021)

  7. Productivity, hours and sleep.

Across 138 studies, people who record their progress are more likely to reach their goal. Among 634 first-year college students, more sleep goes with higher grades. (Harkin and colleagues, 2016 · Creswell and colleagues, 2023)

Andrew M.490 to 511Needed to clear 125 in CARS, and the dissections made it happen

When I stumbled upon MedLife Mastery I was in desperate need of new advice on how to study and how to approach the MCAT. … The passage dissections really helped put me over the 125 mark.

When I stumbled upon MedLife Mastery I was in desperate need of new advice on how to study and how to approach the MCAT. I bought the Top Scorer MCAT Strategy Guide and the CARS Mastery Report (CARS was my biggest struggle throughout my studies) and both of them gave me great insight on different strategies to incorporate that I hadn't tried yet. .

The emails I would get, almost daily, of the success stories really motivated me to keep practicing because if someone else with a premed background could do it, then so could I. I signed up for the VIP Member's Area, as well, and used a lot of the information included in it to help boost my score.

Although CARS was my worst score on both of my writings, I feel like the boost that I needed to get over 125 in that section came from what I learned from the CARS Report. Getting new insight on how to dissect passages and seek out the author's main point is key to scoring well in that section.

Ultimately, that section's score fluctuates really quickly, so having a game plan going in is important to get as many questions right as you can. The passage dissections really helped put me over the 125 mark. I'd recommend all that MedLife Mastery has to offer because it helped me in the last month and a half before I took my test.

I really appreciated the materials that were shared in the VIP Member's Area, it provided comprehensive study guides and mnemonics that were really helpful to narrow down concepts that I needed to focus on.

Renata B.493 to 511Bounced between 503 and 505 for weeks, finished at 511

I bounced around the 503-505 range for a few weeks and eventually was at my limit. … I just got my official MCAT score back this week and I am proud to say I made it out with a 511 overall and a 126 C/P!

I had done all the content review and practice tests necessary to succeed, but was still not reaching my target score. I consider myself a good test taker, but this was getting ridiculous.

I first emailed the MedLife Mastery Team in a total panic. I may have started with a 493, but I had my eye on a 512. Months dragged on and I shot up passed the 500 mark, then the 505 mark, but then that's where it all stopped short. I bounced around the 503-505 range for a few weeks and eventually was at my limit.

Less than a month away from my test day, I started looking up tutors like my life depended on it. I even started to compromise my dream score, asking them if a 510 was even feasible for me at this stage.

That's when they assigned me to my tutor, who helped to calm the heck down. Not only did he help me with my problem areas and send me high-yield equation sheets, he helped me understand that what was really holding me back was my mental hang up on C/P.

I was out of mind angry that this one section was going to blow my chances at almost every medical school I was interested in, despite me hammering it into my head for months on end.

My tutor helped me to see the math for what it is... my score started to skyrocket. I just got my official MCAT score back this week and I am proud to say I made it out with a 511 overall and a 126 C/P!

Thank you guys! You came in clutch when I needed you most.

I got a score I never thought was possible for me on my third try. I went from a 494 (2015) and 502 (2019) to a 513 and I'm so grateful I found this company.

I was very skeptical when I decided to buy the MedLife Mastery course, but I am not anymore. Not only does this guide give you actual tips and tricks that you can choose from. It also teaches other skills you will not find in other MCAT prep books... I've seen my score increase in every section.

My biggest struggle has been with CARS, but with their guide and practicing every single day not only has my score improved. It's also become less daunting. In fact, sometimes I've even come to enjoy reading the passages and treating it like a puzzle. UPDATE: Post-MCAT review - 513

I'm back post-MCAT with another review. What can I say, MedLife Mastery helped me increase my CARS score by 4 points (122->126) and also helped me with my mindset which helped me perform better on the day of the test.

I got a score I never thought was possible for me on my third try. I went from a 494 (2015) and 502 (2019) to a 513 and I'm so grateful I found this company.

Although I wish I had found the Top Scorer MCAT Strategy Guide sooner, it was really helpful! I only bought it about 2 weeks prior to taking the exam.

It would have been great to find it sooner and not "reinvent the wheel" with developing my study strategies.

When I did find the MedLife Mastery site and signed up for the daily emails, I couldn't believe how helpful I was finding the email tips. I downloaded the materials soon after and read the guide in a day, taking notes on all the parts that really resonated with me.

Before I started meeting with a MedLife Mastery Tutor, my study schedule was very messy. … These resources helped me improve me score by 12 points in one month.

Before I started meeting with a MedLife Mastery Tutor, my study schedule was very messy. I had no structure and would just study as much as I felt like doing. I was still spending a lot of time studying, but I was not doing the right things. I am a 24 year old who just recently graduated from College. This was an extremely stressful time.

I have never been a good test taker and really struggled with the time pressure. Additionally, I often found myself second guessing myself and changing answers.

One thing that really helped me was that my tutor actually pulled up the AAMC question bank and would read a passage out loud and I was able to hear what the thought process of my tutor was. For me that was like okay now I understand how you tackle these questions, what to highlight, and how not to get bogged down... For me that really simplified things.

My tutor helped me with rewording the question and understand what is at the root of it, and that is something that helped me a ton. It also showed me that you didn't always necessarily need to know how to solve the problem but there are certain clues that you can use, if you knew enough of your content, to get an idea of how to narrow your answer choices.

My tutor also helped me with feeling confident... Before using the MedLife Mastery resources my CARS scores were very inconsistent. This was very frustrating for me. I found that often times I would go back and change some of my answers. If you are struggling with CARS section I would definitely recommend the CARS Mastery Course or getting a MedLife Mastery Tutor.

These two things greatly helped me improve my score and I am sure the same would be true for you.

I was so desperate for anything that might help. Someone had mentioned that this was a good, affordable resource and they were spot on! The MedLife Mastery tutoring and courses are so encouraging and helpful. I wish I would have found this resource earlier in my study. The emails contained real success stories from students who’ve taken the MCAT, which gave me the boost I needed to push on with my MCAT prep.

First of all, these emails reminded me that I wasn't alone in having to deal with my frustrating MCAT score plateau. I realized that there are so many students who went through and overcame the same struggles as me and just knowing that gave me motivation to keep working harder.

I also realized that the biggest contributor to my MCAT score plateau was that I wasn’t reviewing my tests as I should be. I would just see that I got a question wrong, write down the fact that it was wrong, and simply move on.

When in reality, the most important part about the MCAT is your understanding of the questions that they’re asking, not so much about the content, but why the correct answer was right.

The MedLife Mastery Strategy course really showed me how to review the test , how to look over it carefully, and how to really spend time finding what’s wrong and why it’s wrong. It helped me realize how much reading a CARS passage a day could actually pay off. I went from getting 5/9 right per day to 8/9 or 9/9 right per day.

The Top Scorer MCAT Strategy Guide really helped me adjust my attitude towards the exam. It helped me realize many of the things I mentioned previously: the MCAT isn't something to be feared but a challenge and an opportunity!

The first time taking the exam I was dependent upon just having a photographic memory, but that doesn’t cut it for the MCAT.

You can't just memorize the material (other than the amino acids, definitely make sure you have those under your belt- all parts of it, the single letter code, three-letter code, structure, group, everything!), rather, you have to be able to understand the information and apply it and I believe that the MCAT Strategy Guide helped me do just that!

Additionally, the CARS Mastery program, in my opinion, is a must. It helped me realize how much reading a CARS passage a day could actually pay off. I went from getting 5/9 right per day to 8/9 or 9/9 right per day. I think something that really stood out to me is the trick to read every passage as if your best friend wrote it.

If your best friend wrote it, you are automatically going to be more interested. I literally started every passage by saying "You are going to love this passage because [insert friend's name] wrote."

Both the Top Scorer MCAT Strategy Guide and CARS Mastery are great resources. They both cut straight to the information you need and do not waste your time with fluff. It is arguably the best resource I have found on the MCAT and I really wish that I would have used it on my first time taking the MCAT.

The advice in the mastery guide was exactly what I needed to hear in my panicked state. Hearing the basic advice to review my practice exams was gold. I am so glad I googled "MCAT strategies" a week before the test or I very likely would have voided my score and had to retake. The way I see it, I spent $30, but saved $300!

Lindsay P.503 practice to 513Two jobs, self studying, and a 513

I didn't believe I could raise my score 7+ points while holding two jobs in that time frame, so I extended my testing date. This was definitely beneficial, as I scored a 510 on NS#6, 508 on AAMC#2, scaled 513 on AAMC Sample, and then a 516 on AAMC#3.

I used both your Strategy Guide and CARS Mastery Report. At such a cheap price, these documents were not only helpful in my direct MCAT studying, but also extremely motivating.

As a full-time working self-studier (and a retired competitive athlete), I REALLY appreciated in all the encouragement in all of your documents and emails. Ending each email with "You got this" is such a nice thing to see even from people I've never met.

The CARS report was helpful and I immediately noticed improvements in my AAMC CARS question pack scores. I think finding your team after I was feeling extremely discouraged was a blessing. I love how you seem to connect with us through pages and really shine light onto this whole process when someone is feeling most vulnerable.

Writing this now, I am realizing how much I relied on this community for support as I definitely feel I owe a lot of my success (or at least the fact that I did not spiral into a pit of anxiety) to MedLife Mastery!

With a more comprehensive understanding of the process, I was able to score a 508 on the NS FL#5, but the following week, I scored a 503 on AAMC #1. At this point, I was well into studying and was planning on testing in 3-4 weeks.

I did not use the the tools from MedLife Mastery until a month into my prep, but I found it extremely useful. It really helped me hone in my studying and work on more effective strategies. The tips were extremely useful and easy to practice. I read the strategy guide in one sitting and then broke it down into how I would continue to approach the questions.

I also think the CARS Mastery Report helped me. I started using all the tips they provided in answering questions and it helped me to get the score that I got. Basically, all the information in these packets really helped me towards the end of my studies to focus and use the information I already knew and apply it to answering the questions effectively.

With three weeks remaining before my third MCAT attempt I googled, "how to increase MCAT score from a 505 to a 510 in 3 weeks," and that is how I found the MedLife Mastery Guide. By writing down my goal score on post-it notes everyday, reassuring myself in my abilities through verbal and written affirmations, and reminding myself to enjoy a stress-free life in the meantime, I gained the confidence I needed to improve my score.

I really needed a boost with CARS since I was consistently scoring low on that. I actually wish I had found MedLife Mastery earlier because after reading and watching CARS dissection videos, I started to see some improvements.

Generally though, the idea of keeping a notebook, making meaningful flash cards, doing intense practice runs, and making sure to repeat AAMC material, all came from the MedLife Mastery strategy guides.

It also really helped me to start thinking like a top scorer and getting into the right frame of mind. I started going on a run or walk everyday, eating better and sleeping well. The questions students ask right before they start

How long does it take each day?

About four minutes in the morning and four at night.

What comes with the journal besides the book?

You get 7 bonuses, and they all open the day you order. MCAT Scheduling Mastery with Myelin, your AI study partner: Myelin builds your schedule to test day, emails you three tasks each morning and re-plans every Sunday, and 11 videos show how top scorers schedule. The MCAT Study Mastery Series is 15 study-method videos, each tied to a page in the book. The MCAT Mindset Mastery Series is 8 weekly video sessions, one behind each lesson page. MCAT Exam Day Mastery Mini Series is a separate 10-lesson course for test week and test day. The 515+ Scorer MCAT Master Map is a Google Sheet with your monthly and weekly plans, content trackers and full-length trackers. MCAT Buddy for Chrome puts your plan, a focus timer and a question of the day on every new tab, and you get the Pro version free. The high-yield content library holds 68 cheat sheets across all six science subjects, plus the high-yield checklist. You'll find all seven at mcatjournal.com/resources.

What if I miss a day, or a week?

Turn to the next page! There are no dates, so a missed day costs nothing. For a missed week, there's a page for when you fall behind, with four steps to get back on track.

What if I've never stuck with a planner?

Eight minutes a day, no dates, and a page for when you fall behind. Every field earned its place, so there's nothing to fill in for the sake of it.

Do I need a plan, or should I just study more?

Across 138 studies, tracking progress toward a goal raised the odds of reaching it (Harkin and colleagues, 2016). More hours help most when you know what they're for.

I'm retaking. Will it help?

Yes! The debrief pages ask whether each fix held, and the weekly check-in finds the pattern behind your misses before test day.

Will it help if I'm studying on my own, with no course or tutor?

That's who it's built for! The opening pages show how to add a study buddy and one person you report to, so you're not doing this alone.

My test is close, or I'm months into prep. Is it too late to start?

Not at all! It's undated, so Day 1 is the day you open it. The back half is built for the final weeks, with a debrief after every full-length practice test. Start it the day it arrives!

Do I need it if I already use UWorld, Anki and a study schedule?

Keep all three! The journal runs your day around UWorld, Anki and your schedule. Each morning you decide what the day is for, and each night you see what worked.

Can I use it with Notion or my own calendar?

Yes! Keep your schedule in Notion or your calendar. Each morning you pick today's three from it and write your time blocks, and each night you note what worked and what to change.

What happens after 60 days?

Start a second one! You can add a second journal for $35 when you order, and the pages are undated, so it picks up the day you finish the first.

Where do you ship?

Anywhere in the US or Canada. Shipping is free in the US, and $12 to Canada.

Can I start before the book arrives?

Yes! All 7 bonuses open the day you order, while your journal is on its way. Myelin's daily emails start the next morning and work on any sheet of paper until the book arrives. Once it's on your desk, they point you to your morning page. Myelin is AI and can make mistakes, and you can change any task that doesn’t fit. Our terms explain how we use AI.

How does the satisfaction guarantee work?

Use the journal for 30 days from the day it arrives. If it isn't helping your prep, email us at team@medlifemastery.com and we'll refund you in full. You keep the book and the digital bonuses, except Myelin, your AI study partner, which stops when the refund goes through. And if your copy arrives damaged or misprinted, we'll send a new one. Read the guarantee terms.

Can I use it with a study buddy or a tutor?

Yes! Your weekly check-in takes two minutes to show a friend, a parent or a tutor, and the opening pages show how to build a small group around your prep, with a study buddy, one person you report to and someone who can watch you think. If you'd like to be paired with a mentor or a study buddy, let us know at team@medlifemastery.com.

Why paper, and not an app?

Your phone is where the distractions live, so the journal keeps these eight minutes off it. At the halfway review you can flip back through four weeks of your own pages and spot the pattern.

What if the journal is a gift?

You can ship it straight to them, anywhere in the US or Canada! When it arrives, they scan any QR code in the book and enter their email, first name and test date, and all 7 bonuses open for them. It's a thoughtful gift for a friend or family member in the middle of prep.

I already have the journal. Where are the links?

Every QR code in the book opens a page at mcatjournal.com/resources, with The MCAT Mindset Mastery Series and the full reference pages.
