Welcome to MedLife Mastery! These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our website (medlifemastery.com), products, and services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not accept any part of these Terms, please do not use our Services.

3. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing medlifemastery.com or purchasing any of our online courses, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, or bundled packages, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms, as well as any additional guidelines or future modifications we may publish.

4. Services Provided

MedLife Mastery specializes in various educational, test-preparation, and professional development services, which may include (but are not limited to):

• Exam preparation for standardized tests (e.g., MCAT, NCLEX, and others)
• Professional admissions and application assistance (e.g., medical school, graduate programs)
• Interview preparation and career support (e.g., job placement guidance)
• 1:1 or group coaching/tutoring/mentoring (we use these terms interchangeably)
• Digital, self-paced courses and study materials

The scope and content of our Services may be updated, expanded, or otherwise modified at any time to accommodate new offerings and resources.

5. User Responsibilities

• Account Creation: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating an account.
• Confidentiality: You are responsible for keeping your login information confidential and for any activity that occurs under your account.
• Prohibited Activities: You agree not to use our Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, and you must not violate any laws in your jurisdiction.

6. Payment Terms

• Currency: All fees and prices are listed and processed in U.S. Dollars (USD).
• Payment Methods: We accept PayPal and all major credit cards via Stripe.
• Payment Due: Payment is due in full at the time of purchase unless a payment plan is explicitly offered and agreed upon.

6.1 Payment Plans

• Purpose: We offer payment plans to help you manage costs. By opting for a payment plan, you agree to complete all scheduled payments so that our tutors, coaches, and mentors are fairly compensated.
• Authorization: By choosing a payment plan, you authorize us and our payment processor to charge each remaining installment to the payment method you provided, on the dates shown at checkout, without further notice.
• Missed Installments:
  1. We reserve the right to remove your access to any course materials, sessions, or Services if you fail to make a scheduled payment.
  2. We may seek legal or collection remedies to recover unpaid amounts, including but not limited to engaging collection agencies or pursuing legal action.
  3. You may be responsible for any additional fees, such as late payment fees or costs associated with collections.

7. Refund Policy

We strive to be clear and fair with our refund policies. If you have any questions, please email us at team@medlifemastery.com.

7.1 Live Courses

• No Refunds: We do not offer refunds for live, instructor-led courses. These courses have limited seats, and once a seat is taken, it cannot be reallocated to another participant. We also cannot refund our instructors’ time and energy already spent on teaching and preparation. See 7.5 for the support we commit to if your score does not improve.

7.2 1:1 Tutoring/Mentoring/Coaching Sessions

• Satisfaction Guarantee: If you are not satisfied with your tutor/mentor/coach after the first or second session, we will refund all remaining sessions.
• Requirements:
  1. You must request a refund within 60 days of purchase.
  2. You must make the request before your third session begins.
• Switching Providers: If you’d prefer a different tutor/mentor/coach, let us know, and we will help arrange a switch.

7.3 Self-Paced Courses

• 14-Day Guarantee: If you feel the self-paced course does not provide the value you expected, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your purchase date, no questions asked. CARS Breakthrough has its own guarantee (7.6) and is not covered by this 14-day refund.

7.4 Course + Coaching Packages

• Used Sessions: Coaching/tutoring/mentoring sessions that have already been used are non-refundable.
• Bundle Pricing: If you purchase a bundled package (course + coaching) and request a partial refund:
  • We can only refund the course portion (subject to the 14-Day Guarantee above).
  • Any used coaching sessions will be charged at their standard (non-bundled) rate, which will be deducted from your refund.

7.5 Course Performance Guarantee

For students enrolled in our live courses, we are committed to supporting your progress beyond the duration of the program.

If you have:

• Attended live classes or completed appropriate make-up work for missed sessions,
• Submitted a diagnostic score prior to the start of the course,
• Completed all assigned coursework and homework, and
• Made a genuine effort to apply the strategies and systems taught throughout the program, and you do not experience a meaningful improvement in your score, you may contact us to request continued support.
  
  

At our discretion, we will provide ongoing support at no additional cost until sufficient improvement is achieved. This support may include, but is not limited to, enrollment in a future live course, additional tutoring or coaching, extended access to office hours, self-paced courses, or personalized study planning.

This guarantee does not constitute a promise of any specific score increase, but rather a commitment to continued support for students who have met the above requirements.

7.6 CARS Breakthrough Guarantee

CARS Breakthrough is a six-day program with a $49 one-time price and 30 days of access. Its guarantee is that if you complete the program and your CARS score does not increase, we refund the $49. To qualify, all four conditions must be met, and our records of your activity in the program decide whether they were:

• You completed all six days of the program within your 30-day access window.
• You spent the full daily practice time the program assigns (about two hours a day).
• You watched the strategy lessons assigned to you.
• You sat a timed practice CARS section after finishing, and its score was no higher than the CARS score you recorded when you started.

Request the refund by emailing us within 45 days of purchase. Refunds go back to the original payment method. A refund ends your access to the program.

7.7 Session Expiry and Course Access

• Purchased 1:1 tutoring, coaching and mentoring sessions do not expire, and unused sessions may be applied to any of our 1:1 services, including med-school application coaching.
• Access to a self-paced course lasts one year from purchase unless the course page says otherwise.
• Sessions and course access are personal to you and cannot be resold. You may gift a purchase to one other person by emailing us before it is used.

7.8 How Refunds Are Returned

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval. Where a purchase was made under a payment plan, the refund is limited to the amount we received, less any deductions described above.

7.9 The MCAT Journal

The MCAT Journal is a printed book. It is printed on demand and shipped by our print partner, and we currently ship to addresses in the United States only. Delivery times shown on our site and at checkout are estimates.

• 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee: If the journal isn’t helping your prep, email us at team@medlifemastery.com within 30 days of the date your order is delivered and we’ll refund your order in full. You don’t need to send the book back.
• Damaged or Misprinted Copies: If your copy arrives damaged or misprinted, email us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we’ll send a replacement at no cost.
• Sets of Three: A three-journal set is covered as one order. A refund under this guarantee is for the full set.

8. Privacy and Security

Your privacy is extremely important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information.

9. Intellectual Property

• All content, materials, and software on our website (videos, text, graphics, logos, and more) are the sole property of MedLife Mastery or our licensors.
• You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without our prior written consent.
• Unauthorized use of any trademarks, service marks, or copyrighted material may violate applicable laws and could result in legal action.

10. Email Policy, CASL & CAN-SPAM Compliance

• Communication: When you create an account, download a free resource or make a purchase, you consent to receive emails from MedLife Mastery about that resource or purchase and about related study tips, free resources and offers. We send commercial email in compliance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and the U.S. CAN-SPAM Act.
• Confidentiality: We do not sell, rent, or lease our email lists to third parties.
• Opt-Out: Each email we send includes clear instructions on how to unsubscribe. You can also email us at team@medlifemastery.com to remove yourself from our mailing list.

11. External Links

We may include links to external websites for your convenience. MedLife Mastery does not endorse, guarantee, or take responsibility for the accuracy of the content on these third-party sites. Access linked sites at your own risk.

12. Acceptable Use

• You agree not to use our site or Services in a way that harms or restricts any other user’s enjoyment.
• You may not use our content for unauthorized marketing or for sending unsolicited commercial communications.
• Any activity that disrupts or interferes with our website’s normal operations is strictly prohibited.

13. Session Recordings

• 1:1 tutoring, coaching and mentoring sessions and live classes are recorded and transcribed. We do this so you can rewatch your sessions, so your mentor can review them, and so we can monitor quality and train our team.
• Recordings are available to you through your MedLife account until 30 days after your test date. We may keep transcripts and de-identified excerpts longer for training and quality review, as described in our Privacy Policy.
• If you do not want a session recorded, tell your mentor before it starts.
• Recordings are for your personal study only. You may not download, share, publish or redistribute a recording or any part of it.

14. AI Tools

• Some of our Services use artificial intelligence, including Myelin, our AI tutor, and our website assistant. AI output can be incomplete or wrong. It is study support, and it does not replace your mentor, the official AAMC materials or your own judgment.
• What you enter into an AI tool is processed by the AI provider that powers it, as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not enter another person’s personal information or any content you are not permitted to share.
• You may not use our AI tools to extract, copy or reproduce our teaching materials, or to build a competing product.

15. Reviews, Testimonials and Published Results

• By submitting a review, testimonial, score or success story to us, or by leaving one on a third-party review site, you give us permission to publish it on our website and in our marketing, with your first name and last initial, and to shorten it without changing its meaning. Email us at any time to have it taken down.
• Reviews and score results on our site are from MedLife students, published with their permission. Some reviewers later joined our team as mentors, and we mark those reviews.
• The statistics we publish are compiled from the scores students report to us. They describe the students who reported back to us, and they are not a promise or prediction of your result.

16. Application and Essay Support

• Our application coaching and editing services give feedback, structure and editing on material you write. Your personal statement, essays and application answers must be your own work, and you are responsible for their accuracy and for meeting the rules of every application service and school you apply to.
• We do not guarantee an interview, an acceptance or any admissions outcome.

17. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account at any time if we believe you are violating these Terms, engaging in harmful or unlawful activities, or for any other reason at our sole discretion. If we end a service you bought for a reason other than your breach of these Terms, we will refund the unused portion of the fees we received.

18. Disclaimers

• No Guarantee of Results: While we strive to provide high-quality educational and professional development content, your success, whether in exams, applications, interviews, or career progression, depends on many factors, including your personal effort. We cannot guarantee specific outcomes or results. Scores, gains and testimonials shown on our site are individual results or aggregates of what students reported to us, and your result will depend on where you start, how long you have and the work you put in.
• Informational Purposes Only: All material provided on our website and in our courses is for information purposes. Nothing on our site should be taken as medical, legal, or financial advice. Always seek professional guidance specific to your situation.

19. Limitation of Liability

• “As Is” Basis: Our Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
• Limitation: To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedLife Mastery, its officers, employees, contractors and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for lost opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use or inability to use our Services. To the same extent, our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the fees we received from you for the Service that gave rise to the claim in the 12 months before the claim arose.
• Your Rights: Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have under the consumer protection laws of your province, state or country that cannot be limited by contract.

20. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

• These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
• Before starting any formal dispute, please email us so we can try to resolve it directly. Most issues are settled within a few days.
• To the extent permitted by applicable law, any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved via binding arbitration in Ontario, Canada, unless both parties agree to an alternative, and you waive any right to participate in a class action against MedLife Mastery. Where the law of your province or state does not allow this (for example, for consumers in Ontario), it does not apply to you, and disputes will be heard in the courts of Ontario or the courts where you live, as the law provides.

21. Amendments

We may update or modify these Terms from time to time. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of our Services after any changes constitute your acceptance of the new Terms.

22. Miscellaneous

• Severability: If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
• Entire Agreement: These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MedLife Mastery regarding our Services, superseding any prior agreements.
