Meet Your Instructor: Ryan Anderson, 130 CARS Scorer

Meet Ryan, MCAT Instructor and Tutor

In this video, you'll meet Ryan Anderson, your CARS Strategy Instructor and 130 CARS scorer (98th percentile). He was scoring in the low 120's in CARS before he figured out how to skyrocket his score in just weeks!

He’s ready to share some of his own strategies that helped him increase his score so that you can apply the same strategies into your own test prep.

Ryan’s Test Prep Journey

Ryan is a current medical student, who studied for six weeks total for the MCAT. Starting his MCAT prep, the CARS section did not come easy for him. After the first two weeks, he found himself scoring a 488! He especially found himself struggling in the CARS section since it seemed to be the most difficult with no prior content needed.

At this (very low) point, with only a month left before the MCAT, he found himself re-evaluating his approach to the exam overall. He worked on his passage approach and refined his strategy that he is excited to share with you in this course.

With his test quickly approaching, Ryan focused on developed test taking strategies that improved his score by 25 points to a 513 by the time test day rolled around! Plus his CARS score hit 130!

Increasing Your CARS Score

Take that in: a 25 point score increase in 4 weeks! Keep in mind, all he did was focus on STRATEGY to achieve this result.

He wants to help you get the most out of these strategies so that you can apply them into your own test prep. CARS is not an easy section on the MCAT, and many students can get confused on the overall structure of the section, as well as the complex question types.

As you work through the course, the aim is for you to gain the MCAT Top-Scorer approach to CARS so that you can increase your own score.

After all, Ryan’s experience in tutoring and coaching various students in CARS and the MCAT overall has helped him develop a solid understanding of exactly how to teach these tips best for improving one's score. 🙂
