MedLife Mastery Privacy Policy
Last updated. October 8, 2026
This policy explains what personal information MedLife Mastery Inc. (“MedLife Mastery”, “we”, “us”) collects when you use medlifemastery.com and our courses, tutoring, coaching and tools (together, the “Services”), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We’re based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and we serve students in Canada, the United States and elsewhere.
1. Who we are and how to reach us
- Business. MedLife Mastery Inc.
- Address. 2967 Dundas St. W., #458D, Toronto, ON M6P 1Z2, Canada
- Privacy contact. Email team@medlifemastery.com with “Privacy” in the subject line.
Our privacy officer is reachable at that address for any question, access request, correction or complaint about how we handle your information.
2. What we collect
Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, MCAT or other exam scores and score reports, test date, school and program details, study history, application materials you share with a coach, messages you send us, survey and form answers, and reviews or testimonials you submit. When you buy something, our payment processors collect your payment details; we see the last four digits of a card, never the full number.
Information created while you use the Services. Your account and login activity, course progress, practice test and quiz results, your interactions with our AI tools, support conversations, and the recordings and transcripts of tutoring, coaching and class sessions (see section 4).
Information collected automatically. Your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring site, approximate location, and the cookie and pixel data described in section 6.
Information from others. If a parent, guardian or someone else buys a service for you, they give us your name and contact details. If you leave a review on a third-party site such as Trustpilot, we may display it on our site.
We don’t collect government ID numbers or Social Security Numbers, and we ask you not to send them to us.
3. How we use it
- To deliver what you signed up for. That means matching you with a mentor, running sessions and classes, giving you course access, processing payments and providing support.
- To personalize your prep, for example by reading the scores and goals you share so your mentor can prepare before you meet.
- To communicate with you about your purchase, your account, scheduling and Service changes.
- To send you study tips, free resources and offers by email, where you’ve agreed to that. Every email carries an unsubscribe link (section 7).
- To measure outcomes and improve the Services. We analyze scores, session records, support conversations and feedback, in aggregate and de-identified where practical, to see what works and to train our team.
- To report results. The statistics on our reviews and sales pages come from the scores students report to us. We publish them in aggregate, and we don’t name a student in a result without their permission.
- To keep the Services secure, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
4. Session recordings, transcripts and AI
Tutoring sessions, coaching sessions and live classes are recorded, and the recordings are transcribed. We do this so you can rewatch your sessions, so your mentor can review them, and so we can check quality and improve how we teach.
Recordings are stored with our video hosting provider. Recordings of tutoring and coaching sessions are available to you through your MedLife account until 30 days after your test date, after which we remove your access. Live class recordings stay available to you for 3 months after the final class. We may keep transcripts and de-identified excerpts longer for training and quality review. We may also keep recordings of live classes longer and show them to our instructors and TAs to train them. If you don’t want a session recorded, tell your mentor before it starts; we can usually accommodate that, and it won’t affect the help you get. If you choose to record a homework video with a screen-recording tool, the video stays in your own account with that tool, and only the people you share the link with can see it.
Some of our tools use artificial intelligence, including Myelin, our AI tutor, and our website support assistant. What you type into those tools, along with any practice answers and session transcripts the tool needs, is sent to the AI provider that powers the tool so it can respond. We choose providers whose terms don’t allow them to train their models on your data. AI output can be wrong; it’s study support, and your mentor and the official AAMC materials are the final word.
5. Who we share it with
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t rent our lists. Here is everyone we share it with.
- Your mentors, coaches and instructors, who see what they need to work with you. They are bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Service providers who work on our behalf. These cover payment processing (Stripe, PayPal, ThriveCart), email delivery (Kit), web hosting, video hosting and transcription, scheduling, our support inbox, forms, analytics, and AI. They may only use your information to provide their service to us.
- Advertising and analytics partners, through the cookies and pixels described in section 6. Google, Meta and TikTok receive limited browsing data from our site so we can measure ads and show relevant ones. Some privacy laws treat this category as “sharing” for targeted advertising, and you can opt out (section 8).
- Anyone you ask us to share with, for example a parent who bought your sessions.
- Authorities or other parties when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of MedLife Mastery, our students or others.
- A buyer or successor if MedLife Mastery is ever sold or merged, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
6. Cookies, pixels and analytics
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies for three purposes.
- Required for the site to work. Keeping you logged in, remembering your cart, and keeping the site secure.
- Analytics. Google Analytics, so we can see which pages are read and where the site breaks.
- Advertising. Google Ads, the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) Pixel and the TikTok Pixel, so we can measure whether our ads work and show ads to people who visited the site. We also use TrustPulse, which shows recent sign-up notices, and embed Trustpilot review widgets.
Where a consent banner appears on the site, analytics and advertising cookies stay off until you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time from the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. You can also block cookies in your browser; the site will still work, though some features won’t. Our site doesn’t respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, because there’s no agreed standard for them, but it does honor Global Privacy Control signals where the consent banner is active.
7. Email and text messages
When you create a free account, download a free resource or buy something, you’re agreeing to hear from us by email about that resource or purchase, and about related study tips, free resources and offers. You can stop the marketing emails at any time with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email, or by emailing us; transactional emails about your account and purchases continue.
We comply with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and the US CAN-SPAM Act. If we ever send text messages, we’ll ask for your separate consent first, and you’ll be able to reply STOP.
8. Your choices and rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy.
- Correct anything that’s wrong.
- Delete your information, subject to records we have to keep (for example, purchase records for tax purposes).
- Stop sending you marketing.
- Stop using your information for targeted advertising. You can do this through the cookie settings on the site, or by emailing us.
- Take down a review, testimonial or success story that names you.
Email team@medlifemastery.com with “Privacy” in the subject line. We’ll confirm it’s you, then respond within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for exercising these rights. If you’re in Canada, you can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, in Quebec, the Commission d’accès à l’information. If you’re in California or another US state with a privacy law, the rights above cover what those laws provide, and you can appeal a decision by replying to our response.
9. How long we keep it
We keep your account and study records while your account is active and for up to three years after your last activity, so you can come back to your materials and so we can support you on a retake or a med-school application. Session recordings follow the schedule in section 4. Purchase and tax records are kept for seven years, as Canadian law requires.
Email marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record so we don’t email you again. We keep support conversations for as long as they’re useful for helping you and improving the Services, and we de-identify them before using them in any analysis we share outside the team.
10. Where your information is stored
We’re a Canadian company, and most of our service providers are in the United States, so your information is stored and processed in Canada and the United States. Laws there can differ from the laws where you live, and authorities in those countries may have access to information under their own laws. We choose providers with strong security practices and contractual commitments to protect your data.
11. Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls so only the people who need your information can see it, payment processing handled entirely by PCI-compliant processors, and secure, access-limited storage for recordings. No system is perfectly secure, so if we learn of a breach that could cause you significant harm, we’ll tell you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.
12. Students under 18
Our Services are for people preparing for university-level exams and applications, and most of our students are adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian should make the purchase and can contact us about your information at any time.
13. Links to other sites
Our site links to other websites, including AAMC, Trustpilot and the tools we recommend. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy doesn’t cover them.
14. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use information we’ve already collected, we’ll email account holders before it takes effect.
15. Questions
Write to team@medlifemastery.com with “Privacy” in the subject line, or by mail to the address in section 1. We read everything, and we’ll get back to you.
