How Reliable Is My Score?
Your percentiles come straight from the AAMC. We use the official percentile ranks in effect from May 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027, which the AAMC built from 305,494 MCAT scores across the 2023, 2024 and 2025 testing years. In September 2026 we checked every total score from 472 to 528 and every section score from 118 to 132 against the AAMC's published table, and they match. You can see the table yourself here: AAMC percentile ranks
The AAMC updates these numbers every May. A calculator that misses an update can be off by a few points, and a few points is the gap between the 71st percentile and the 74th. We refresh ours each spring.
It can't predict your test-day score, though. A practice test is one sitting, and your official MCAT score can land a few points above or below it. That's normal! We'd use it as a solid read on where you are right now, and if you'd like help turning it into a plan, let us know :)
